Inland Transportation & Logistics Services

SEACOR’s inland transportation & logistics services businesses, through its SCF Group of companies, provides its customers with safe, efficient, and reliable logistical solutions by owning and operating for third parties modern river transportation equipment, operating bulk and general cargo terminal facilities, inland linehaul towboats, fleet boats; and providing ancillary repair and shipyard services along the U.S. Inland Waterways and operating marine equipment on the Magdalena River in Colombia and the Parana-Paraguay Waterway in South America.

SCF Marine operates covered hopper barges along the U.S. Inland Waterways, transporting agricultural, industrial, and project cargoes.

SCF Lewis and Clark Terminals provides bulk and general cargo terminal services along the U.S. Inland Waterways with the ability to receive and transfer by barge, unit train, truck, and container.

Gateway Terminals transfers and stores ethanol and petroleum products with a storage capacity of 400,000 barrels and the ability to receive and transfer by barge, unit train, and truck.

SCF Lewis and Clark Fleeting and related entities provide services on the U.S. Inland Waterways to assist in the loading and unloading of barges, barge cleaning and repair, and the fleeting of barges.

SCF Services provides machine shop services, dry docking for the repair of barges and towboats, topside repairs, shore side tankering and crane services for dock repair and new dock construction at locations on the U.S. Inland Waterways.

Naviera Central, the group’s Colombia business, operates inland linehaul tow boats, liquid tank barges and covered hopper barges on the Magdalena River in Colombia.

SEACOR AMH focuses on providing customers with safe, efficient, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly container movement by barge “COB”. SEACOR AMH also controls container depots along the U.S Inland Waterway System.

Joint ventures include: 

SCF Bunge Marine markets towing services from its fleet of inland linehaul towboats on the U.S. Inland Waterways.

Bunge SCF Grain owns and operates grain storage facilities located in Fairmont City, Griggsville, and McLeansboro, Illinois.

SCFCo, the group’s South America joint venture, operates inland linehaul towboats and barges on the Parana-Paraguay River System and a transshipment terminal at the Port of Ibicuy, Argentina.
